Bucs Boys Lacrosse Trounce Wi-Hi

The Kent Island boys lacrosse team made the trip down to Salisbury on Friday and rolled past Wi-Hi for a 20-1 win. The win improves the Buccaneers to 2-1, while the loss drops the Indians to 0-5.

The Bucs would jump out to a quick lead, getting goals in the first quarter from Luek Fromort, Sean Mooney, Brendan Smith and Mike Quinn. The lead would be 10- shortly into the second quarter, as the rout was on. After the initial offensive blitz, the Tribes defense would play much better, settling in to limit Kent Island’s scoring opportunities in the second half. But the lead proved to be too much as they could never get back into the game.

Wi-Hi returns to work on Monday when they travel to Sussex Central, while Kent Island travels to Kent County on Wednesday
