Bennett Baseball Rolls Past Wi-Hi

The James M. Bennett High School baseball team picked up another win Friday afternoon, when they rolled past Wi-Hi 10-0. The win improves the Clippers to 3-1, while the loss drops the Indians to 0-6.
The Clippers would jump out to an early lead, getting a run in the 1st and the 2nd before racking up a couple sac flys in the 3rd, including one from Hunter White to build a 4-0 lead. The Indians continued to shuffle their pitching staff as everyone was trying to find ways to contribute. But the bats would just get too hot for Bennett. Tyler Shockley would help Bennett start to pull away with a 2 RBI single in the 4th, followed by another 2 RBI single from Joey Geary. Bennett would then put the game away in walk-off fashion in the 5th, with a RBI single from Grayson Winterbottom.
Bennett returns to action on Monday when they travel to Snow Hill, while the Indians host Stephen Decatur on Wednesday.
