Apr. 4 – Little Free Libraries

Clifton Harcum, program director at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore has partnered with several organizations in Somerset county to place little free libraries throughout Somerset county.

They have already received 11 old newspaper boxes from the daily times which are being painted by various parties. They are doing a ribbon cutting ceremony in April during volunteering month.

They are asking for help from the public and ask for book donations. The purpose is to promote literacy with kids and parents.

So far over 1000 books have been collected.
