Apr. 19 – 4-H Worcester County Farm Visit

University of Maryland Extension (UME) 4-H takes the farm to all the 1st graders in Worcester county, visiting the elementary schools.

There will be 5 learning stations-goats, hatching chicks, milking a cow, wiggly worms, and making butter. We have hands on, experiential learning activities with each station. Worcester 4-H is able to provide this program to our elementary schools through a grant from the MD Agriculture council. This is our 3rd year taking the “farm to school”.

To discover additional youth opportunities available with our 4-H program, visit our county website at http://www.extension.umd.edu/worcester-county/worcester-county-4-h-youth
