After A 7th Inning Scare, Decatur Pulls Out The Win

The Stephen Decatur baseball team hosted James M. Bennett on Thursday night and after a scare in the 7th inning, they pulled out the victory 8-6 and improved to 3-0 on the season.
The Seahawks were up 1-0 than after a 3-run home run by Zach Adams, they were up 4-0 in the 3rd.
They ended up with another run in the 3rd to make it 5-0 heading to the 4th.
The Clippers looking to not be silenced, scored two in the 4th via a two-run home run. It was now a 5-2 game.
Clippers added another one in the 5th to make it a 5-3 game.
Seahawks now in the bottom of the 5th and after Zach Adams was walked and ended up on 3rd base thanks to passed balls, Gus Esham doubles off the left field fence to score adams making it 6-3.
Now in the second half of the 6th inning, Jake Shockley gets the RBI single, than he would score after some passed balls to make it 8-3 to head to the 7th.
The 7th inning saw the Clippers scoring three runs and taking this game from an 8-3 score to an 8-6 score. The Seahwaks ended up with runners on the corners and two outs with the batter for the clippers hoping to take the lead, instead the Seahawks pulled it out and won.
The Clippers are in action next Monday against Parkside. While the Seahawks have Wicomico Monday as well.
