Young entrepreneurs seek investors

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) consists of a group of middle to high schoolers trying to turn their business ideas into reality.  Wednesday the entrepreneurs took a big step as they pitched their ideas to investors “shark tank style” at Salisbury University.

The investors, compiled of leaders and business owners in the community, will give varying levels of startup funding to businesses.  Dwight Miller, an investor and president of Gillis Gilkerson Construction says that these kids are the future, and he says he is excited about what they are bringing to the table.  Miller adds above all else, regardless of what happens, the entrepreneurs are learning life skills that will take them far.

The investors will pick one business to go to the regional round of the YEA! program held in New York.
