UPDATE: More K-9 scans underway at Wicomico Co. Schools

A local school system says they are holding k-9 scans of several of their buildings, Thursday morning, in an effort to keep their campuses drug free.
The Wicomico County Public Schools says on Thursday, the school system is collaborating with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office to perform K-9 scans for controlled dangerous substances at several schools, including Wicomico High School, Bennett Middle School, and Salisbury Middle School.
Officials say the scans are done from time to time, in an effort to ensure that schools are safe and drug free.
During the scans, the school system says students will be brought outside, and resume regular activities once wrapped up. School officials say students cannot be signed out by parents at these schools while the scans are taking place.
