Troopers investigating serious crash in Lincoln

Delaware State Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Route 30 near Benson Road, in Lincoln, because of a crash.

Troopers say they are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on Cedar Creek Road near Benson Road, that happened around 4:40 PM, Wednesday afternoon. Officials say the preliminary investigation shows that two vehicles were involved in the crash, but the number injured and the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

Route 30 between  Benson Road and Fleatown Road is closed at this time. Police are asking drivers to find alternate routes of travel.
