Sussex Central Tops Cape for Playoff Win, Will Advance

Sussex Central beat Cape Henlopen at home Tuesday night 39-34 to advance to round two of playoffs. Sussex Central will travel to face Hodgson this Thursday evening.
Getting to the next round of playoffs was not easy for the Golden Knights, as Cape tried everything to upset the home team. The final minutes of the game really decided the winner of this contest.
Alison Palmer hit a crucial 3-pointer to bring the Vikings within one with 2:38 left in the game. This was the closest to winning the Vikings had because Tatyana Jenkins got the layup, along with the and one to keep the Golden Knights ahead.
Fast forward to the last 40 seconds of the game, and with Central up 36-34 and the ball in Vikings territory, Jenkins gets the steal and hand the ball to Azayah Garrison for the layup that cemented the Knights Victory dance.
The Golden Knights were led by Lamesha Walker with 12 on the night, and the Vikings were led by Logan Shuttleworth with 11 points.
