Suspects sought in Georgetown restaurant burglary investigation

Suspects sought in Georgetown China Wok burglary

Police in Georgetown are looking for two suspects, in connection with the burglary of a local restaurant.

The Georgetown Police Department says on Wednesday morning around 1:00 AM, Officers responded to China Wok for an alarm activation. Once on scene, they say they found that the front door glass, and window of the restaurant had been shattered. Police say they looked for suspects inside, but didn’t find anyone.

They were however, able to get surveillance footage of the burglary that they say showed two people hitting the front window with a baseball bat, but they couldn’t get in that way, and moved onto the door, where they were able to break the glass, and get inside.

Investigators say the two suspects tried to get into the cash register, but couldn’t, and instead took a tip jar from the counter, with an undetermined amount of cash inside. The two then apparently left out the back door.

The Georgetown Police are asking anyone with information about this incident, or if they may recognize the suspects, to contact them at 302-856-6613.
