Suspect sought in Dover Inn robbery
Police in Dover are looking for a man who they say robbed another, at a local motel.
Dover Police say on Tuesday around 11:15 PM, 22-year-old Wakee Loper, of Dover, walked up to a 57-year-old man at the Dover Inn on North DuPont Highway, assaulted him, and then stole an undisclosed amount of cash, before leaving.
The victim was reportedly treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for injuries to his face, before being discharged. Police say they identified Loper as the suspect, and now have a warrant out for his arrest for assault third degree, and robbery second degree.
