Seahawks topples defending champ Centennial

The Stephen Decatur Seahawks won their first regional title since 2010, defeating defending 3A champion Centennial 65-47 on Saturday night.

Torrey Brittingham led the Seahawks with 15 points. Big man Keve Aluma added 12 points, while forward Ja’Quan Johnson finished with 10. Junior guard Darion McKenzie added 11 off the bench in the win. For Centennial, Elijah White and Tom Brown each finished with 10 points.

The Seahawks move on to face 3A West champion Seneca Valley at the state semifinals held at the Xfinity Center on the campus of the University of Maryland College Park. Game time is set for Thursday at 5 p.m.
