Salisbury teens accused of killing geese in City Park

18-year-old Domonick Hall-Mallory, of Salisbury, Md.

Several Salisbury teens are facing charges, after Police say they beat a goose to death in the City Park.

Salisbury Police say on March 21 around 2:00 PM, Officers responded to the Salisbury City Park, near Ben’s Red Swings, for reports of people chasing and hitting geese with sticks.

Once on scene, Police say they met with witnesses who were able to identify the suspects involved, and the dead goose that was floating in the water. The investigation reportedly revealed that the suspect were walking through the park carrying large sticks, and chasing geese.

At one point, the witness told Police that the suspect were then hitting geese with the sticks, while chasing them. Police say the geese were chased, and hit as they went into the water, where they were found dead.  Salisbury Police Animal Control Officers apparently responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. Officers say they arrested 18-year-old Domonick Hall-Mallory, a 17-year-old male, and a 14-year-old male.

Hall-Mallory was charged with aggravated animal cruelty, false statement to police, and obstruction. After consultation with the Department of Juvenile Services, the two minors were charged with aggravated animal cruelty, and released to their guardians, while Hall-Mallory was released to Wicomico County Central Booking.
