Salisbury man charged in two separate burglary incidents

Antonio J. White Jr., 21, Salisbury, Md.

A Salisbury man is facing charges, after he was arrested twice in one week for two separate burglary incidents in Wicomico County.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on March 20, 21-year-old Antonio White Jr., went into a home on Ocean Gateway in Salisbury, through a kitchen window, and stole $20 worth of coins inside. Investigators say White was actually seen on the homeowner’s video surveillance system, inside the house with a child’s piggy bank in his hands. White is apparently known to the victim, and was identified by them.

On March 23, a Deputy responded to reports of a burglary at a home on Porter Mill Road, where they met with the resident. According to the report, the woman got home, and found her dog paying close attention to a closet in her bedroom, so she opened the door, and found White standing inside.

Investigators say she also noticed that a coin bank that was normally stored under the bed, was now out in the middle of the bedroom. While investigating further, she also found that she was missing cash, cigarettes and a gift card. White had apparently finessed a back door, and made his way into the house.

White was reportedly found nearby, on foot, and was arrested. He was then charged with burglary, theft under $100, theft under $1,000, and malicious destruction of property, for the two incidents. He is now being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
