Ridgley VFC controls house fire in Caroline Co.

Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company say firefighters battled a fire Thursday night morning in Caroline County.

Fire officials reported the fire around 6:00 PM on Riverview Way in Ridgely. Units on scene say the fire began outside of the home in a trash can.

There is no word on injuries or a cause of the fire. Fire officials confirmed the fire was under control within 15 minutes.

Records say, the resident has an estimated structure loss of $5,000, and that the Maryland State Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause of this incident.
