One arrested on drug and weapons charges in Seaford

Troopers say they have wrapped up a month long drug investigation, with an arrest.
Delaware State Police say on Thursday around 5:00 PM, the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and the Sussex County Drug Task Force responded to an apartment building on North Porter Street, with a search warrant. Once on scene, Troopers say they found 38-year-old Leondre Williams, sitting in his Dodge Ram pickup truck, and took him into custody.
During the search, Investigators reportedly found 2,765 bags of heroin weighing 41.475 grams, 3.82 grams of marijuana, over $8,830 in suspected drug proceeds, and a loaded .357 caliber revolver that was reported stolen out of the Wicomico County Sherriff’s Office in January of 2015.
Williams was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance – heroin, two counts of possession of a deadly weapon or ammunition by a person prohibited, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, breech of release, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was then ordered to be held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $247,101 cash bond.
Police say Williams was also wanted by Seaford Police, for reckless endangering and offensive touching as well as six capiases out of Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, and was arraigned on all those charges as well.
