Man dead after shooting at Richmond apartment complex

Police say a man is dead after a shooting at an apartment complex in Richmond.

The Richmond Police Department said in a statement that officers were called Sunday around 2:15 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Armfield Road for a report of a person down. Police say officers found a man in the parking lot of the complex who was suffering from an apparent a gunshot wound. Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not release the man’s identity or any information about what may have led to the shooting.
