34-year-old Kevin Pearsall

A man is facing charges, after Police say he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s Dover home, and assaulted her.

Dover Police say on Wednesday just after 8:00 PM, a woman and 34-year-old Kevin Pearsall, were in a vehicle arguing. During the incident, Officers say Pearsall strangled the woman, who was able to escape, and run to her home on Patriot Drive, and lock herself inside.

According to the report, at this point Pearsall climbed a ladder to the second floor, and shattered a window, to get into the home. Once inside, Police say Pearsall assaulted the woman again, and took her cell phone and money.

Responding Police units were apparently able to take Pearsall into custody without incident. After his arrest, he was charged with burglary second degree, strangulation, assault third degree, offensive touching, theft, and two counts of criminal mischief.
