Lions Roar To First Regional Title

History was made on the court on Queen Anne’s on Friday night. The Lions boys basketball team dominated Harford Tech from the start as they rolled to 68-31 for the programs first Regional Title.
Queen Anne’s would begin to grab control of the game from the opening tip. Cassius Warren would drill back to back 3’s to open up the game, followed by a lay in from Ahmad Gray as Queen Anne’s would grab a 8-2 lead. The defense would then get sparked by block after block from Juwan Moore. They would find themselves up 21-10 at the end of the first. The Lions didn’t let up in the second, as More scores on three straight possessions on the block, followed by Gray who would find a rhythm in the post. The Lions were doing anything they wanted offensively, while the Cobras couldn’t get anything going. The lead would stretch to 32-14 by half and the rout was on. Once the big three had it rolling for Queen Anne’s, some of the other pieces around the team got going. Vernon Ashley would get a couple buckets in the 3rd, while Mikey Dixon was able to connect on a couple jumpers himself. The Lions blew the game open with 26 points in the 3rd, and would ride their momentum all the way to a trip to the Xfinity Center next Friday.
