Kids Expo shows what Wico. Co. can offer families

For the first time ever, an event called the Kids Expo was held at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center. An expo completely dedicated to showing off what the county has to offer young families.

The one day event, held on Saturday, had everything from Elsa from Frozen and the Easter Bunny, to live snakes that the kids could actually touch and interact with.

Different booths were hosted by a variety of businesses and non-profits such as the YMCA, Kubota tractors and the Wicomico County Parks and Recreation Department.

“Through my affiliation with coastal kids consignments, we saw a lot of young families, we would mention certain things in our community and notice they didn’t know anything about it, and that’s what kind of made me think we should really bring all that together, and invite families and businesses together,” said the event’s coordinator, Vicki Burns.

If you missed the event, a full list of the vendors and non-profit organizations who attended can be found on the kids expo website.
