Information sought in Easton necklace theft investigation

Police in Easton are looking for help, after a necklace was apparently stolen from a local jewelry store.

Easton Police say on March 22, sometime between 10:30 AM, and 11:00 AM, a 14 karat white gold, diamond and sapphire necklace was stolen from Westphal Jewelers, on Harrison Street. The necklace is apparently valued at approximately $2,300.

Police say they have a person of interest in the case, a man who was in the store around the time of the theft. The man is described as about 60-years-old, standing around 5′ 7″ tall, with short, un-kept grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a multi-colored plaid button down shirt.
