Hanlin to replace Fredericksen

Wicomico County Board of Education announced Tuesday night that Dr. Donna Hanlin will be the next superintendent of Wicomico County Public Schools.

Dr. Hanlin was one of three candidates that were being the considered to replace Dr. John Fredericksen.

Hanlin currently serves as co-chair and director of assessment and accountability for the department of education at Shepherd University, but she also spent 26 years in Wicomico County.

Some of that time was spent as principal of James M. Bennett High School, where she also graduated from.

Wicomico County Schools say Dr. Hanlin will take over effective July first.
