Former Pocomoke City Police Chief hired in Baltimore

Former Pocomoke City Police chief Kelvin Sewell has a new job. The Baltimore State Attorney’s office hired him as a lead investigator.

We’re told the 53-year-old is a veteran of the Baltimore Police force and starts his new position next week. It appears he will be working specifically with homicide, felony, and juvenile district court cases.

Sewell was fired from the Pocomoke City Police Department last year. He claims his dismissal was retaliation for not firing two of his officers after they filed complaints with the EEOC.

Sewell is currently in the middle of a lawsuit against Pocomoke City and Worcester County.
