Dover man arrested twice in week for threatening city employees

A Dover man was arrested twice in less than a week, after Police say he threatened City of Dover employees.
Dover Police say 43-year-old Anthony Irvin was arrested on Friday, March 18, after he was disorderly with an employee on the second floor of City Hall. He apparently made verbal threats to the employee, and other city officials. Police say Irvin left the building before they arrived on scene, so they got a warrant for his arrest, and tried to take him into custody at his Lost Tree Court home.
According to the report, once Irvin saw law enforcement, he went back into his house, and refused to come out for nearly 45 minutes. Eventually, Police say, Irvin spoke with his attorney and surrendered. He was then charged with terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct, and released on an unsecured bond, and give a no contact order with City Hall, and the employee that he had threatened.
Then, on Wednesday, Dover Police say they received a call again from a City of Dover employee, saying that he was threatened by Irvin. Officials say the city employee was driving in a marked City of Dover vehicle, near Pear Street and Walker Road, when Irvin, who was also in a vehicle, pulled alongside the City of Dover vehicle and threatened the employee.
Police say Irvin told the employee that he would come to his house, and harm him, while continuing to shout various profanities. Irvin was then additionally charged with more counts of terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct, and held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $1,250 cash bond.
