Diapering Delmarva: Eastern Shore native plans third diaper drive

For some, buying diapers for their baby is no big deal. However for other families, it can be extremely costly resulting health and hygiene issues. That’s why one Eastern Shore native says she’s “Diapering Delmarva.”
Jackie Weisman is entering the third year of her diaper drive. This time she’s doing it with a website and a brand new goal of raising 20,000 diapers. They’ll go to St. Martin Ministries in Ridgely and donated to families across Delmarva.
Weisman says it wasn’t until she attempted to donate her son’s diapers that she noticed the need. She continues,”I spoke with someone who I know personally who would change the disposable diaper and lay it out so that it would dry and reuse it. They needed to stretch it as long as possible. Think about that poor child.”
The official drive starts in June. However, Weisman says people can start donating on the website now. Click here to check it out.
