Demolition of old Hostess factory begins

The end of the old Hostess factory in Salisbury, is a new beginning for companies that will call the “River Park Center” home.  The 21,000 sq. ft. space will be constructed into a professional office complex on East Main Street.

Demolition started Wednesday, and the parts that will be kept will undergo a complete makeover.  The electrical and mechanical systems will be completely re-worked, and the remaining structure will undergo renovations.

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., an architecture and engineering firm will call the new building home.  An adjoined office is available for lease.  Gillis Gilkerson, who is in charge of the project, expects renovations to begin in April.
