Thirty members of the Clayton Fire Company traveled to the Delaware State Fire

Officials say Clayton requires its members to attend at least 1 of 3 live fire classes a year to maintain their structural firefighting status within the fire company.

Members are able to participate in several fires throughout the period of a few hours allowing them to hone their skills and work on getting better.

Trainers with the Clayton Fire department says,  the members work on a series of skills from search and rescue, and ventilation, to extinguishing fires while in attendance of the the class.
