Chicken house fire contained in Roxana area

Fire officials from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company have confirmed a chicken house caught fire along Gum Road around 11:30 A.M. Saturday.

Officials say the incident happened in the Roxana/Frankford area, not far from where members of the Roxana Fire Station were conducting a controlled burn at the same time.

Millville officials say other agencies assisted Roxana at the station and at the site of the chicken house fire, which they say is under control as of about 12:30 P.M.
