Cambridge Tops Kent, Will Advance to Regional Title

The Cambridge girls basketball team advanced to the Regional Title game after beating Kent County Thursday night 64-49. They will play in the 1A Regional title game against Pocomoke on Saturday.

The game started off slow with the score after the first quarter only 12-4. Cambridge though ahead, were trying to find their niche and work together, and Kent County really working to upset the home team. The girls entered the locker room at half time 23-19, Cambridge.

Starting the 3rd quarter it looked as if it could be anyone’s game, but Cambridge came out the second half a completely different team than we saw in the first and really gave it to Kent.

Cambridge doubled on Kent by outscoring them 20-10 in the 3rd quarter. The fourth quarter Kent tried to come back but Cambridge scored 21, with 17 of those by Natalya Pritchett.
