Caesar Rodney girls hang on to knock out Howard
The Caesar Rodney girls basketball team earner a thrilling 54-51 victory over Howard in Round 2 of the DIAA tournament on Thursday night.
Alissa Haith led the Riders with 13 points, while teammate Alexis Reid added 12. For Howard, Roniesha Blatch-Higgins scored a game-high 20 points.
The Riders advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament, where they will play the winner of the St. Elizabeth/Conrad game. Tip is set for 3:30 on Saturday at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware.
