UPDATE: Teen arrested for Laurel bomb threat

Police in Laurel say they have arrested a teenager in connection to the bomb threat at a local school on Wednesday.

The Laurel Police Department says on February 10, Officers, along with Delaware State Police responded to a possible bomb threat at the Laurel Middle/Senior High Schools. Officials say during the investigation and evacuation, they were able to find where the threat had originated from.

Officers say they then went to the home, where they found the phone that the threat was made from, and the name and location of the person who made the call.

Police say they then located the 13-year-old Laurel boy, and charged him with one felony count of terroristic threatening cause to evacuate building, place, school, daycare, or long term care facility. The teen was then arraigned, and released to the custody of his grandmother, pending a future court date.
