UPDATE: One arrested after barricade situation in Salisbury

After a standoff with police this afternoon, a barricade suspect is now in custody. Officials with Maryland State Police tell 47 ABC Ali Bradley was arrested just before 1PM this afternoon.

It all apparently started with state police trying to apprehend Bradley, which lead to a police chase. We’re told he drove down a dead end street and proceeded to flee on foot. Bradley jumped a fence and broke into a house on Justice Avenue. We’re told that’s when the barricade situation began.

Two adults and two young children were apparently inside the house when Bradley reportedly broke in. Officials with Maryland State Police say they were able to get them out of the house safely.

Police believe Bradley holed himself up in the attic and he was eventually taken into custody.

Officials tell 47 ABC that police have reason to believe the residents in the house know Bradley. He is now facing traffic violations and burglary charges and other charges are apparently pending. We’re told Bradley is believed to be a drug distributor and that MSP executed a search warrant for the home. No word yet on if they found anything.

Wicomico Day School, which is near the scene, was placed on lockdown today due to the situation and it has since been lifted. Kids and Staff at East Salisbury Elementary were also told to shelter in place this afternoon.
