UPDATE: Identity of victim released in Dover homicide investigation

State Police say they are investigating a homicide in Dover, that left a Dover man dead.

Delaware State Police say Dover Police were called to Bayheath Kent General Hospital around 11:00 PM on Thursday, after a man with gunshot wound was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Once at the hospital, Police say they learned that the victim had died from his injuries. The incident apparently happened at the Capital Park development, which falls under state police jurisdiction.

Delaware State Police Homicide detectives and evidence technicians then reportedly took over the investigation at South Governors Boulevard, where Officials say shell casings were found in a yard.

The victim has since been identified as 23-year-old Jason Mills. Police say an autopsy done on Friday, by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science has ruled his death a homicide, by multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say at this time, the investigation is in its early stages, and is on-going. Details are limited, but they are apparently continuing to collect evidence, and hold interviews. No suspect information has been developed at this time, according to investigators.
