UMES thumps Howard for third straight win

The UMES’ men’s basketball team led start to finish on Monday night, topping Howard 85-67, moving to 4-4 in the MEAC conference.

Devin Martin finished with 21 points for the Hawks, Dom Elliott notched a double-double, putting up 17 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Howard’s James Daniel III, the leading scorer in the country, posted a game-high 28 points for the Bison but UMES’ was able to down Howard, knocking down 11 three pointers on the night.

The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, when they host Hampton.
