UMES falls late to South Carolina State

The UMES men’s basketball team lost a close MEAC matchup with South Carolina State on homecoming, falling 62-58 at the William P. Hytche Center.

Senior forward Dominique Elliott finished with a game-high 23 points, and also pulled down 7 rebounds. Senior guard Devin Martin finished with 15 for the Hawks in the loss. Forward Tashombe Riley led the Bulldogs with 16 points on the night.

UMES goes on to host Florida A & M on Monday, tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
