Two arrested on drug charges in Dover hotel room

Two people are facing charges, after Police say they found more than 6 grams of heroin in a Dover hotel room.

Dover Police say on Thursday, the Street Crimes Unit was assisting Delaware Probation and Parole with an administrative search warrant. According to the report, during the search Officers found 437 bags of heroin totaling 6.55 grams, .4 grams of powder cocaine, and .6 grams of crack cocaine, as well as $746 in suspected drug proceeds, in a room at the Dover Inn on North DuPont Highway.

They then arrested 24-year-old Quayshaun Johnson, and 18-year-old Chelsea Stacey, both of Magnolia. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance – tier 5 quantity, possession with intent to deliver controlled substance – tier 4 quantity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was ordered to be held on a $42,500 bond at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, while Stacey was released on a $40,000 bond.
