Two arrested after suspect reportedly pulls gun during foot pursuit

Police in Dover say they arrested two people, after a gun was pulled during a foot chase.
Dover Police say on Wednesday around 9:00 PM, Officers were responding to a call about an armed robbery in the Dover East Estates. During that investigation, an Officer says they approached 21-year-old Zhamir Cooper-Watson, of Dover, and two others, near Barrister Place, but Cooper-Watson turned and ran. Police say the Officer then chased Cooper-Watson, during which he reached inside his coat, and pulled out a handgun.
During the incident, Cooper-Watson apparently cooperated with officers when they told him to drop his weapon, which was later found to be a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, loaded with five rounds of ammunition. Cooper-Watson was then arrested, and charged with carry a concealed deadly weapon, and resisting arrest. He was then ordered to be held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $5,500 secured bond. Zhamir Cooper-Watson
Police say the two other people at Barrister Place, stayed with a Dover Police Cadet during the chase. One was released after an interview, but the other, 19-year-old Sameer Dover, of Dover, reportedly had 27.6 grams of marijuana on him. He was then arrested, and charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, before being released.
