Training process behind protests

Community advocate groups are now holding rallies every Monday protesting the defeat of Delaware Senate Bill 40, which would have repealed the death penalty.
One official says training before a protest is especially important in order to get your message across. According to the Complexities Of Color Coalition, that’s exactly what they did.
Executive Director Dr. Donald Morton says protesters often do not know what they are getting themselves into emotionally. He says The Tabernacle Full Gospel Baptist Church apparently trained his group prior to the launch of “Moral Monday”.
Sessions stressed the importance of remaining non-violent during protests and demonstrations.
“Which is particularly difficult and recognizing that at the same time, that people are frustrated right? And not only how do we navigate that frustration but how do we harness it in a positive way so we can get the outcomes that we are asking.” Says Dr. Donald Morton.
Moral Monday will held every week until the Legislative session reconvenes. The rallies be held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
