Teen arrested for bringing weapons to Dagsboro school

Troopers say they have arrested a 17-year-old from Bethany Beach after he was found with a pellet gun and knife while in school.
According to Delaware State Police, Indian River High School administrators were notified around 11:50 AM on Monday that a student was in possession of a knife and a gun. The School Resource Officer was reportedly contacted and responded to the school and cleared the classroom in which the student was in. Troopers say that search located an 8″ knife in his boot as well as a CO2 pellet gun in his book bag.
Authorities say, the teen was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon for the knife and firearm. He was arraigned at JP3 and released to the custody of a parent pending arraignment in Family Court at a later date.
