Sussex Central Wins Back-to-back Henlopen Titles

Sussex Central girls basketball defeated Woodbridge Friday night 54-35 to be crowned back-to-back Henlopen champions. 

It was a tight match up right  in the beginning, but the Golden Knights held them to just one point in the second quarter increasing their lead. 

The last time these two teams faced off was back in January, with Woodbridge beating them 35-30. With that loss still in the back of their minds the Golden Knights were looking for that revenge.  

The Golden Knights were led by Emily Truitt with 22 points on the night, and four 3-pointers, while the Blue-Raiders were led by Altia Anderson with 15 points.

Up next for Sussex Central, they take on Cape Henlopen in the first round of playoffs this Tuesday at 7pm at home.
