SU Completes Season Sweep Of Wesley

The Salisbury University men’s basketball team completed a regular season series sweep of their rivals Wesley on Wednesday after their 68-62 win. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 17-5 on the year, while the loss drops the Wolverines to 7-15.

SU would jump out to a quick lead as Rocky Harris connected on a couple 3’s, followed by a few easy scores from Justin Witmer. The Wolverines then made a run late in teh first half powered by Wayne Lennon. They would cut the deficit to just 7 at the half, and come back to get even closer in the second half. The Sea Gulls would eventually settle down though, as they got at least 7 points from 8 different players in the win.

SU returns to work on Saturday when they travel to Southern Virginia, while Wesley travels to Frostburg on Saturday.
