Students dismissed after bomb threat at Laurel Middle High School

A local middle school is being dismissed, after a bomb threat was called in Wednesday morning.
Laurel School District Superintendent Shawn Larrimore, says around 8:00 AM, Laurel Middle High School received a live phone call stating that there is a bomb in the building. Officials say all students and staff have since been evacuated, and were brought to the Fire Hall while LMHS is being inspected by law enforcement.
Larrimore says that he has asked Delaware State Police for a comprehensive search of the building, which will take between four and five hours; because of this students were dismissed at 11:00 AM, from the Fire Hall. Parents can also pick-up students at the Fire Hall.
Other schools in the district have apparently not received a threat, but are on lockdown at this time, until the threat has been cleared. All after school activities at Laurel Middle High School are cancelled for Wednesday.
