Search for missing airman continues

The search for a missing Dover Air Force Base airman continued over the weekend with an organized search party in New Castle County.

A Facebook group titled “Bring Keifer Home” urged volunteers to help the family and friends of Senior Airman Keifer Huhman.

Huhman, 21,was last reportedly seen Sunday, February 7 as he was leaving his home in Blue Hen Apartments in Dover; however, he did not report for duty at Dover AFB that following Monday.

According to Dover Police, the truck Huhman was last seen in was towed by Delaware State Police from the shoulder of the William V. Roth, Jr. Bridge on Sunday night. The bridge spans the C&D Canal, which is where search efforts were centralized over the weekend.

Volunteers were invited to search along the sides of the canal.

Huhman’s father Kenneth Huhman posted on Facebook pages thanking volunteers and local agencies working on the case.
