Salisbury woman arrested for car theft

Delaware State Police have arrested 27 year old Autumn Hitchens in connection with a February 16th robbery outside of Georgetown.
The 54 year old victim from Seaford reportedly told DSP that he knew Hitchens and she was driving him to a restaurant in Laurel. On the way, Hitchens reportedly picked up a male unknown to the victim. After leaving the restaurant State Police say Hitchens, the victim and the unknown male got in the vehicle and after driving away from the restaurant pulled over on the side of Hastings Farm Rd.
Officials say that’s when another vehicle pulled up behind the car and the victim tells police he was then pulled out of the car and robbed of money and a cell phone by unknown suspects. The suspects drove off and left the victim on the side of the road, he was uninjured in the incident.
3 days later on February 19th, the victims stolen vehicle was located traveling around the Bridgeville area. Police conducted a traffic stop and say Hitchens was in the vehicle.
Delaware State Police charged Hitchens with theft of a motor vehicle, as well as 2nd degree robbery and two counts of conspiracy. Authorities are still searching for the remaining suspects.
