Salisbury men advance to CAC Championship

The Salisbury men’s basketball team advanced to the CAC championship with a 83-78 win over Mary Washington in the CAC semifinals on Thursday night.

Forward Gordon Jeter finished with a team-high 19 points, while pulling down 8 rebounds, and nabbing a game-high 3 steals. Salisbury put 4 players in double figures, with guard Justin Witmer finishing with 13, and reserves Justin May (12) and Chad Barcikowski (15). For Mary Washington, Mark Madison finished with a game-high 24 points.

The Gulls advance to their second consecutive CAC title game, where they will take on the winner of top-seeded Christopher Newport and fourth seeded St. Mary’s.
