Police seize drugs, stolen firearms following investigation

Dionne Warner, 34, of Greenwood

Members of the Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Task Force say they have arrested Dionne Warner, 34, of Greenwood, following an investigation into illegal drug sales from his home at Sea Chase Apartments.

Troopers say around 10:35 a.m. Friday, the Sussex County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and Greenwood Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Warner while he was driving his Oldsmobile on Route 13 in Greenwood.

According to police, Warner had .5 grams of methamphetamine on him at the time of the stop.

State Police say a search warrant was also conducted at an apartment on Sea Chase Lane, where Warner lives, and detectives reportedly located 47.2 grams of heroin, 2.1 grams of marijuana, over $2,400.00 in suspected drug proceeds, and a loaded .38 caliber revolver that was reported stolen during a burglary in the Milford area back in June of 2015.

Troopers say Warner was transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), two counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was reportedly arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $71,000.00 cash bond.
