Police arrest Easton man after assault on pregnant woman

Police in Easton say, 27-year-old Jonathan Butler was arrested on Sunday after an apparent assault on a pregnant woman earlier this month.

According to Easton Police Department, on February 6th Butler got into an argument with a 32-year-old woman at the Mulberry Hill Apartment complex. During the argument police say Butler punched the victim in the stomach, who was pregnant. Police also say he was intoxicated during this altercation.

Butler has been charged with two counts of second degree assault 2nd, two counts of reckless endangerment, and alcohol intoxication/endangerment.

He’s being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
