Pittsville mobile home fire under investigation

Members of the Pittsville Fire Department tell 47 ABC emergency crews from Pittsville, Willards and Powellville  responded to a structure fire along Morris Road.

Captain David Hearn of the Pittsville Fire Department says when crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming out of the house.

Authorities say one resident was home at the time but was able to make it out of the fire without any injuries. 

“The first engines arrived roughly within a couple minutes of the initial dispatch once crews pulled the line off the engine they made a quick knock were able to get the fire out within the first minute,” Hearn said.

Officials say the fire was contained to kitchen and living room but were able to quickly put it out.
