Officials: Several injured in crash involving medic unit

Authorities say several people have been injured after a Baltimore County medic unit was involved in a crash with a sports utility vehicle in Dundalk.

Baltimore County police spokesman Shawn Vincent says the incident happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday when the medic unit collided with the SUV on Wise Avenue and Lynch Road.

Police say the crash involved four civilians in a Jeep and four people who were inside of the medic unit.

At least one person from the medic crew was taken to the hospital. The civilians involved had minor injuries.

Mike Sparks of the Lansdowne Fire Department says the medic was responding to an incident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
