No. 5 SU Scores 6 Straight In 4th To Upset No. 2 Lynchburg

The No. 5 SU men’s lacrosse team completed an impressive comeback Wednesday in their home opener as they pulled off an upset over No. 2 Lynchburg. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 2-0 on the year.

The Hornets would jump out in the first quarter, grabbing a 3-0 lead early. The Gulls then would answer with scores from Thomas Crillo, Brandy Dashiell and Brendan Bromwell. Lynchburg would then respond with a nice run to take a 7-3 lead late in teh second quarter. The Gulls once again settled down, and would net 2 more scores to claw within 2 at halftime. They opened the second half then with another score from Crillo to pull even. Then once again, the Hornets would go on a run, taking a 11-8 lead into the fourth quarter. There, SU would take over, out scoring the Hornets 6-0 on their way to ta win.

SU returns to work on Saturday when they host Montclair St.
